Felix Neureuther wins Bronze at World Ski Championships 2015

Fritz Dopfer had to fight at the awards ceremony with the tears - what about you?

Felix Neureuther: I have not fought so with tears. How can I say? I was sure that it is not enough to medal. Because I've had a very big mistake in the second round. Then all at once separates from the Marcel and then you are a third party. Cheer! I do not want me then. It is of course great, I'm glad that I'm third. But I know very well that I was very lucky.

On the other hand, after much better performances you've also had bad luck - now it was the other way around.

Neureuther: Yeah. This shows just also that it runs then. If you're not driving times as well, still standing just on the podium.

Neureuther: It's not easy when you bring before such services and what everyone expects of you and says you must. Then you will be in the giant slalom Fourth, what has not made the whole thing really simple. Then the Norwegians put down as a first passage, that it was a Gegurke that it was no longer brutal. Then of course you have to fight too, do not optimal second passage and are still third parties. That's a great deliverance. I think I have shown again today, that I may well withstand the pressure. I think I really very, very happy to go home.

Until the possible crystal ball there are still two races. How much help as a medal at the World Cup?

Neureuther: What's help. There are two races since it starts again at zero. But if you verbockst the World Cup - it is relatively scarce in the slalom World Cup - that would not make things any easier. I know very well, if that would not work then again, not here and not in the slalom World Cup, then the cry would have been great again. So you have a medal. Therefore, one can say that it is a very successful season and I can mount up quite free in the last two races now.

In Schladming it was often said: Great for Felix, finally a medal. Now it says: Great for Fritz, finally a medal.

Neureuther: The Fritz has definitely well deserved. That's a great season went, now the second place, which is obviously great. I am very pleased. The first victory (for Dopfer) will surely come at some point once.
