Egyptian bombing IS in Libya?

Coptic Christians Friday in Sirte.

bombings were aimed at the eastern city of Darna, like air strikes earlier in the day. How many deaths fell in the latest bombing is still unknown. A Libyan source said earlier in the day that the first bombs had claimed dozens of lives. Egypt has the international coalition against IS also summoned to attack targets of the terrorist movement in Libya. Until now leads the coalition led by the US attacks on IS targets in Syria and Iraq. There IS a caliphate has been declared in an area the size of Italy. The United Arab Emirates have announced to support the Egyptian attacks. "We stand behind all the steps and measures that take you to eradicate terrorism and all terrorist organizations," said Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi says 'for now' to consider no intervention.

Executions

The bombing in Libya in response to the execution of 21 Coptic Christians who were held hostage for weeks by IS extremists in Libya. Images of the killings appeared last night on the internet. Egyptian fighter jets took arms dumps and training camps under fire, a spokesman said on state radio. The attacks were meant "to avenge the bloodshed and retaliation against the killers," the spokesmen. "Let all the world know that Egyptians are protected by a shield." The warplanes returned safely. The Libyan air force bombed today the eastern city of Darna, which last year was captured by fighters who have sworn allegiance to IS. The unit commander told the station al-Arabiya that the action was coordinated with Egypt. He announced that today and tomorrow more bombings follow.

Decapitation

The decapitated 21 Coptic Christians were working as guest workers in Libya. President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi Egypt had already said that his country has the right to respond to the massacre in a manner it deems appropriate. The Egyptian government announced shortly after the publication of the video seven days of national mourning. In the five-minute video shows how masked men in black, another group of men in orange jumpsuits beach train. Once there, the men are forced to kneel, pushed forward and simultaneously decapitated. Pope Francis has condemned the execution of the Copts. According to him, the Copts were "just killed because they were Christian. "They just said," Jesus, help me. " The blood of our Christian brothers is a cry from the heart. Whether you're Catholic, Orthodox, Coptic or are Lutheran, it does not matter: they are Christians, "the Father of the Church. The White House condemned the beheading earlier. A spokesman called it a "cowardly" act. He said a quick political solution to the conflict in Libya, where the Copts were beheaded, is necessary. "This heinous act again underlines the urgent need for a political solution to the conflict in Libya," said spokesman Josh Earnest.

Kidnapped

It was already known that the 21 Egyptian workmen were slain. The Libyan government confirmed on Saturday their murder by IS. The terror group circulated earlier reports about the murder of the Egyptians. They were kidnapped weeks ago. Many of the abducted men came from the same village. Some might be related. The published video says IS prove to have to foot the ground in Libya. The film was included in the vicinity of Tripoli. 'We are south of Rome, "said one of the masked men in English. He says that the video is a message for "hostile Egyptian church. "Safety for you crusaders is something you can only wish for." The executions were carried out in "revenge for Muslim women who are persecuted Coptic crusaders from Egypt." The men are referred to also as "the humiliated followers of the Coptic Church." The abducted men came under Egyptian newspaper Al Shourouk from the midst of Egypt, but had found work in the Libyan city of Sirte. That's not unusual for Egyptians, although it is known that Libya is dangerous. For Christians, it seems the danger in the east of the country has become too big, now jihadists there have prevailed. Benefiting from the weakness of the state apparatus, including the army, police and judiciary no longer able to maintain order.
